Marriage and Momhood

How many of you married women feel overwhelmed out there today? If you're like me, there are many times during the day that you might feel frustrated at the thought of doing all that you have to do. You may even feel like your children and husband are intentionally forcing you to become a modern day slave, and you certainly don't like it! After all, you have a college degree and dreams of your own. Why should you be the one to always "fix" everyone else's problems? Those are the questions stemming from an unbalanced life, my friend. If resentment, anger, guilt, and shame are commonly found in your day to day routine, it's time for a change. Carve some time out each day to meditate on God's word, even if it's just one scripture. Find a scripture that speaks to your problem or issue, and let it sink into your soul. Pray to God and ask Him to help deliver you from your troubles, because He will. Don't give the devil another foothold in your marriage and family by holding on to negative emotions...which are really the root of sin. Confess, pray, meditate, and let go. Give it to God. Then you'll have something left to give to your marriage and children.
